My mom has totally mastered deliciousness. 

She has always been able to create wonderful meals with grace and ease. When unexpected guests drop in, she's able to create a memorable and tasty spread from appetizers to dessert with only the ingredients on hand--she must have a VERY well-stocked pantry and freezer and a photographic memory for recipes.  

Aside from a fabulous meal, the most predictable part of dining at my mom's is when everyone has complimented her on the meal, she always responds with something like "It needed more salt" or "It could have been served warmer". Argh.
